With over a decade of experience in policy advising, project management, and lecturing, I specialise in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and stabilisation efforts in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Sahel. I am a certified peace mediator with a comprehensive understanding of conflict prevention and resolution strategies.
I currently work as an independent consultant. I have collaborated with GIZ, OSCE, and UNDP on conflict analysis, conflict-sensitive project implementation, and risk management strategies. Furthermore, I provide advisory services on leadership and organisational development, especially in crisis contexts.
I began my international career in 2010 with the GIZ as a rule of law advisor in Afghanistan. From 2012 to 2015, I served as a policy advisor on peace and security to the German Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) in Berlin, Germany.
In 2016-2017, I led a multinational team with the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, focusing on monitoring human rights violations and the humanitarian situation in the Luhansk Region. My work from 2020 to 2021 with the Stabilisation Platform involved advising the German Federal Foreign Office and supporting implementation of the UNDP Regional Stabilisation Facility in the Lake Chad region. In 2022-2023, I was involved in designing and setting up of the Stabilisation Platform’s Ukraine Hub. Moreover, as a component leader, I managed a support package worth 14 million EUR that aimed at stabilisation measures for the front-near regions in war-torn Ukraine.
Aiming to bridge the gap between project implementation and policymaking with academia, I teach conflict management, security, and development at various institutions and serve as a member of the advisory board at the Heidelberg Institute of International Conflict Research (HIIK).
Originally from Poland, I hold a Graduate Diploma in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master's in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. I did my undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
I am fluent in German, English, French, Polish, and Russian.
